As soon as you enter the game, you'll be standing near a "Portal Spire",
At the portal spire are the base level crafting stations you need to make all the basic stuff to get you started in Landmark. You will want to find the forge to make the weapons -
At the forge you can make all the weapons. They are the base weapons and they require no materials. They're also the only weapons, so don't feel like you need to find/craft better weapons for PvP. Also, create all 3, as you can freely swap between weapons while you're playing.
Once you're armed for PvP, there are two ways to find Arenas/Battlegrounds
1) /join PvP - to join the PvP channel, as where people are fighting at. Send a friend request to people who sound like fun, and when they accept, you can teleport directly to them from your friend list. Warning: The Teleport to friend has a cool down timer.
2) (longer version) get some basic tools, harvest up the materials to make Portal Shards from Tinker's Workshop. Once you have some (don't make just 1), you can open the Show Case by pressing "B". Then click the "Gallery" tab, and then search for PvP. That will bring up all the PvP arenas. On the far right, click for the detail list, then have it sort by "Likes". Those are all the most "liked" PvP arenas. HAVE FUN. There's no CD using portal shards to teleport to all the arenas, just make sure you have some.
